MyPerioPath® Test
MyPerioPath is our most widely used test for the detection of oral pathogens that case gum disease and threaten oral and systemic health. MyPerioPath provides early warning of oral pathogens and enables the personalization of your periodontal treatment.
The pathogens tested for in MyPerioPath can help determine if a patient is at increased risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes or birth complications. MyPerioPath tests the following:
High Risk Pathogens
- Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans
- Porphyromonas gingivalis
- Tannerella forsythia
- Treponema denticola
Moderate Risk Pathogens
- Eubacterium nodatum
- Fusobacterium nucleatum/periodonticum
- Prevotella intermedia
- Campylobacter rectus
- Micromonas (Peptostreptococcus) micros
Low Risk Pathogens
- Eikenella corrodens
- Capnocytophaga species (gingivalis, ochracea, sputigena)
OraRisk® Candida Test
OraRisk Candida identifies all common species of the yeast Candida albicans, which are known to cause oral thrush in patients with normal or compromised immune systems.
Candida species identification is key to treatment choice as some types of Candida are resistant to standard antifungal treatments. Candida spices identified by this assay include C.albicans, C.glabrata, C.krusel, C.parapsilosis, C.tropicalis, C.rugosa, C.gulliermondii/C.zeylanooides, C.kefyr and up to three types of C.lusitaniae.
